KIRBY HILL & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

The Annual General Meeting of the above Parish Council was held at the Coronation Hall on Monday 15 May 2006 at 8.10pm, following the Annual Parish Meeting, due notice having been given.
Present: Cllr Smailes (Chairman), Cllr Owens (Vice Chairman), Cllrs Lister, Merson, Parr, Wilkinson, NYCCllr Watson and 3 visitors, being prospective co-optees – Mrs Jean Graham, Mr Peter McKenzie and Mr John Helliwell

Minutes
The Minutes of the AGM held on 16thMay 2005, having been copied and distributed, were agreed and duly signed. Resolved.
3. Financial Statement
The accounts as at 31st March 2006 showed a balance of £913.93 and were accepted and duly signed.
4. Election
of Chairman
Cllr Owens, Vice Chairman, called for nominations for the office of
Chairman. Cllr Wilkinson proposed Cllr Smailes and this was seconded by Cllr Merson. Cllr Smailes agreed to serve as Chairman for a further year.
5. Election
of Vice-Chairman
Cllr Smailes asked for nominations and proposed Cllr Owens. This was
seconded by Cllr Wilkinson. Cllr Owens agreed to serve as Vice-
Chairman for a further year.
6. Co-option
a) Kirby Hill vacancy – Cllr Owens proposed co-opting Mrs Jean Graham and this was seconded by Cllr Wilkinson. Mrs Graham agreed to be co-opted and signed the Declaration of Acceptance
b) Thornton Bridge vacancy - Cllr Smailes proposed co-opting Mr Peter
McKenzie and this was seconded by Cllr Graham. Mr McKenzie agreed to be co-opted and signed the Declaration of Acceptance.
c) Milby vacancy – Cllr Merson proposed that Mr John Helliwell be co-opted and this was seconded by Cllr Owens. Mr Helliwell agreed to be co-opted and signed the Declaration of Acceptance.
The Meeting ended at 8.25pm
